Megan Racing Header and Weapon R Race Header

Author: Thomas VDate: February 8, 2010Report: HereCategory: Parts & Accessories
The Megan racing header is a steel header that is made with T-304 grade stainless steel. Each Megan racing header offers Mandrel tool bent tubing and flanges from a CNC machine. All Megan racing header parts are tested to ensure fit and performance meet all standard goals, and each Megan racing header comes with a one year warranty. All Megan racing header is a replacement for any factory header on a vehicle. All Megan racing headers with the exception of the Acura Integra GSR all come with the outlet that bolts right up to the vehicle’s factory exhaust pipes. The Megan racing header for the Acura listed above offers a two and a half inch JDM outlet for power. All other Megan racing header parts will bolt directly on, and none come with the exhaust manifold gasket. This is a recommended replacement when bolting on the new header.

These headers are available for the Dodge Neon for years of 1995 to 1999 with the DOHC trim. This is a 4 to 1 design that gives high power and a two and a half inch outlet that can be found for about $150 each. The Honda Civic is fitted for years of 2001 to 2004 with the EX trim and can be found for about $150. The Honda Accord is supported from years 1990 to 1993 and are available for $170. The one and only Infiniti model supported is the G35 from years 2002 to present. This model offers a 2.25 inch outlet with power gained due to the air flow being increased and can be found for about $330. The next most popular model of vehicle for this system is the Mitsubishi Eclipse for the years of 1995 to 1999, all non-turbo models. These will fit a 2.0 liter engine or a 420 A motor as well as an Eagle Talon. This model comes in two pieces with a 2.25 inch outlet and is a direct bolt on.

The Weapon R race header comes in a 4-2-1 configuration. The Weapon R race header offers long tubes design for the highest RPM flow, and stepped tubing for larger torque gains. The Weapon R race header is suggested for all racing vehicles, but is best for those that have high lift cams or high RPM rev bands. A two and a half inch collector for the high exhaust flow and the fact that this eliminates the need for the CAT makes it not legal in all 50 states. The Weapon R race header was made with years of research and development put into it including on the dynapack dyno. The Weapon R race header is only suggested for off road use as it is not legal on United States roads at this time, and the check engine light eliminator is recommended when using these headers. The Weapon R race header is available for only the B series of the Integra and is found for around $500, making it the most requested of all Weapon R race headers.
